Oba of Idimu, Dada-Aluko Olugoke II is dead
His Royal Majesty, Oba Azeez Adewale Olayeni Dada Aluko, Olugoke II, Onidimu of Idimu Kingdom, is dead.
Idimu is in Alimosho Local Government Area of Lagos State.
The king joined his ancestors in the early hours of Sunday, May 14, 2023, at the age of 87 years, after 20 years on the throne.
In 2003, when Oba Azeez Adewale Olayeni Dada Aluko, Olugoke II, ascended the throne after the death of Oba Rufai, seven other persons challenged his position in court.
He studied engineering in Yaba College of Technology, and later established A. A. Lasco Engineering.
There are three ruling houses in Idimu, which produce Oba on a rotational formula. Late Dada-Aluko’s father was the first.
