On Saturdays: What my family ate Vs. what I ate challenge

My family ate ‘sapa’ rice with enough red oil to cook egusi soup for a naming ceremony. You can be sure I did not participate in that adventure.

Ruby ate one contraption that was originally started out as a salad.

What it turned out to be at the end of the venture can neither be described nor should be seen.

Grandma ate boiled cocoyam and spinach + prawn sauce. They know better than to bring all their culinary atrocities near her.

I’m having wild rice plus veg scrambled egg.

But before we go further, partake in the Early Morning Water, EMW, therapy:

Now, let’s go on with our gist.

Wild rice offers 30 times more benefits than white rice, including powerful antioxidant and lipid-lowering properties.

This ensures, above all benefits, and unlike its white cousin, that wild rice does not cause water retention and bloating.

If you’re having a hard time dropping the rice addiction, wild rice is great place to ease away with. It is also totally hypo addictive.

A win-win.

Nature always has a healthy alternative to suit your budget, lifestyle and environment; you’re the one that is unwilling to find out.
